Still is for a lot of people. Up until last year I had an 80MB hard drive and used less than 15MB of it. Then it crashed and the smallest drive I could find to replace it was 120MB. And I'm still only using 15-20MB. That includes a C compiler, a Pascal compiler, two assemblers, two debuggers, Deluxe Paint IIe, two text editors, two word processors, 4DOS, the usual utilities, and lots of source code and art for various projects. I do have to wonder at the folk (not you Lonnie) who have posted about wanting to use gigantic hard drives with their Atari 8-bit machines, i.e. half-gig or larger. Yeah...I do need to clean the monitor! I'm not at the Atari at the moment, but it seems like when doing a SELECT-E (for example), the "control character" printed is in a little black box for visual emphasis. Perhaps someone more experienced with AW can answer....I can't find my AW cart right now. The question came up when I was reading (pitifully attempting to learn) about color registers, possible on-screen colors, etc. I distinctly DO remember seeing these little black inverse-boxed characters on the screen, though. Then I wondered how they did it in a GR.0 text window. Last night, I finally acquired an SIO2PC cable for use between my MUX based Atari system(s) and my 486DX2/66. Since I already have 800meg on my Atari(s), I'm curious as to how I can create a 16meg image on the PC, and FORMAT it in SpartaDos format - then dump an entire 16meg atari partition over to the PC? So far, I've only been able to create and format floppy (up to 720k) sized partitions - as there doesnt appear to be a Spartados based utility that will format a 16meg partion (except for my MIO stuff, but it wont work on one of these mirrors).
